In our venue and destination tour series, we highlight our favorite wedding destinations and venues we’ve personally worked with, toured, or just can’t wait to collaborate with in the near future.

In early 2021, we had the great privilege of photographing an AOP engagement for a dear friend in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and are thrilled to share more about this beautiful island and destination with you today.

Hilton Head Island has well-known ways to explore and enjoy the island like – golfing, horseback riding, biking, and fine dining. Hilton Head Plantation Driftwood Beach

This beautiful hidden driftwood beach is within the Hilton Head Plantation luxury gated community. This beach is magical at sunrise and perfect for a secluded picnic or just a quiet moment away from it all.

Hilton Head Plantation Dolphin Head Recereation Area

Near the Dolphin Head Recreation Area in the Hilton Head Plantation, you can find this magical little island. This may be my favorite hidden spot we visited during Mekina and Nick’s engagement session. I highly recommend grabbing a pastry and cup of coffee at the Hilton Head Social Bakery and then go down to this little island to watch the sunrise. You won’t be disappointed.

Hilton Head Plantation Beach

You can’t go wrong at a Hilton Head beach. They’re full of beautiful shells, palms, and sailboats all along the shoreline. To find your perfect beach visit the Hilton Head website to explore all your options.

Hilton Head Plantation bike and walking trails

One of the best ways to explore Hilton Head is by bike. Everywhere you look you can find a bike trail and you’ll discover some of the most beautiful hidden nooks along the way. So rent a bike and start riding.

Hilton Head Islandd | Colleton River Club

We can’t WAIT to head back to Hilton Head Island this Fall to celebrate Mekina and Nick at the Colleton River Club. For now, here is just a peak of one of the venues at the Colleton we’ll be celebrating Mekina and Nick at. We’ll share a separate tour of the Colleton later this year. Stay tuned!
