2020 Shop Small Gift Guide

I’m currently snuggled up by the Christmas tree, coffee in hand, writing this gift guide and I just feel so festive! I love this season and the joy it brings.

Growing up with a full time artist dad, it’s been taught to me from a very young age that it’s important to shop small and support local artists. I can’t go to a vendor market without spending my whole wallet! I just relate to the life of maker so much that I want to do whatever I can to support!

So, that is why I am so excited to be writing a shop small gift guide for this holiday season! If you’re out of ideas of where to shop small, scroll down for my list of personal favorites!

Dyeraid | Natural hand dyed textiles based out of Raleigh, NC. I have had the opportunity to help Kara (owner) design her holiday gift bundles that include a hand dyed ornament, bandana and print! She also made the most adorable hand dyed stocking that you NEED for your mantle!

Ramble & Company | My favorite family owned t-shirt company! I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing fam in Waco, TX at the magnolia market and I’ve been following their journey ever since! They have the cutest holiday shirt designs and the absolute softest shirts ever!

Maya Blu Ceramics | I don’t know about you but I am huge ceramics lover and Megan’s ceramic pieces are absolutely stunning and the perfect gifts! She’s based in Austin, TX and I definitely have one of her pendant lights on my list!

Raegan Knight Jewelry | Her pieces are simply elegant and the perfect gift for the everyday jewelry lover looking for an elevated piece!

Alyssa Guerrero Art | Alyssa is a San Fransisco artist who makes the most fun and beautiful prints. Her style is so unique and I actually have one of her prints in my cart right now!

Silica Shack | A unique blend of stand glass and dried floral wall hangings. Her work is truly one of a kind and perfect for any home decor lover!

Emily Eisenhart Art | Emily is one of my all time favorite artists. I love her funky style and bold mural work! She has a print and bandana shop full of gifts perfect for the art lover in your circle!

The Ochre Stone | Sweet and feminine handmade jewelry. The clay earring seems to be super popular this year, but her clay earrings are very unique and just beautiful! I’d love a big pair of the “neutral nested knots” myself!

Undercurrent Coffee | I am local to Charlotte, NC and my absolute favorite coffee shop in the area is undercurrent coffee! I love to buy bags of beans as stocking gifts or party favors!

The Peach Vintage | An online vintage store, but they recently just started making their own blouses that are purely swoon worthy. And every time you shop, they send your package in the most adorable wrapping! (always a plus)

Sandbox Ceramics | I don’t know about you but I love starting the New Year with a new mug! It’s a little tradition of mine! And this year I will be purchasing mine from Sandbox ceramics! Her work is absolutely stunning and so intricately beautiful!

Papaya Reusables | What’s better than starting the new year with cute and funky sustainable and reusable products! I love starting the year with healthy habits and I think taking care of the earth is a great one. The reusable paper towel bundle is at the top of my list!

Maurele Paper | An elegant notebook is definitely how I want to start out the New Year! Maurele Paper’s notebook + leather carrying set is the perfect gift for the planner in your life!

That’s it for 2020! We’d love to know if you added any of these gifts to your list and what some of your favorite shop small shops are this year!

Cheers to a joyous holiday season!
