UGA Founders Garden Wedding Athens, GA

Welcome to Athens! I’m so thrilled to have called this little town home for the past five years. During this time I have found all my favorite places that bring a little extra enjoyment and life into my life. I hope this list of my ‘favorites’ makes your Athens trip just that much more enjoyable.

Now…here are my favorite restaurants, locations, places to visit, shops, and everything I love about Athens, Georgia.

For Your Coffee Breaks

1000 Faces | Their coffee is hands-down my favorite in Athens and I love their bright and open space that makes very day feel a little bit better!

Sips Coffee | I love the atmosphere and space at Sips. On a nice day. they open up their windows and I’m all for a coffee shop that. allows me to take in all the fresh air while working.

For Stores and Experiences that Just Make Me Happy

Condor Chocolate | Do I really need to explain why I love a chocolate shop!?!?! I didn’t think so!

Avid Bookshop | I’m a reader and all about supporting local, community-based businesses when I can. Avid Bookshop is a cornerstone in the Athens community. A stroll through one of their stores will make your day that much better.

Archer Paper Goods | I’m pretty obsessed with quality paper and I’m pretty sure you can’t find better paper in town than at Archer!

For Your Breakfast Needs

Ideal Bagel | For a quick breakfast that has a bit of Athens history itself go to Ideal Bagel!

Mama’s Boy | For a Southern breakfast experience topped off with the best biscuits and raspberry jam this is your place.

For Your Outdoor Adventures

Greenway Trail | If you want to run, walk your dog, ride your bike, or anything in between the greenway trail is the way to go! You can take this trail through a large portion of Athens or just hop on it for a quick walk.

Sandy Creek Nature Center | For dog parks, water activities, ‘beach time’, a good picnic, or just some fresh air – this is the place for you!

Bear Hollow Zoo | Visit our very own little zoo! It’s free, quaint, and a lovely way to spend your afternoon.

UGA Botanical Gardens | For the best trails, flowers, and fun kid interactive area this is an amazing place to spend a beautiful Spring day.

For Your Dinner Plans

LRG Provisions |LRG Provisions has the best food, staff, and service. I’ve always had a great meal at LRG.

5 & 10 | I love the atmosphere at 5 &10. This restaurant is hosted in an old historic home and just makes me happy. This is more of a special occasion restaurant, so if you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or your next big break this is the place to go!

Tlaloc | They have the BEST Mexican food (in my opinion) in Athens. This little restaurant is my favorite go-to dinner spot ALWAYS.

For the Best Performances and Entertainment

The Morton Theatre | This charming historic theatre holds a special place in my heart. I’ve danced here for the past five years with The Modern Pin-Ups and watched many great performances here.

Georgia Theatre | Some pretty great bands come through Athens and when they do I bet they’ll be at the Georgia Theatre.

For Your Overnight Stays

Hotel Indigo | This is by far my favorite hotel. They’re welcoming to hosting community events, care for my clients and couples so well, and have a wonderful space close to downtown. You can’t go wrong with staying here.

Now…come on down to Athens! I hope this list helps make your stay a little bit more enjoyable. I can’t wait for you to explore this quaint town and maybe we’ll even have the opportunity to meet in person.
